POET TALK : Soulful Storm, by Sherril Netto
I reached within my soul
It’s an afternoon…of the lazy sort.
There is a storm.
Its brewing.
Its broth like texture.
Offers no answer..
I reached within my soul
It’s an evening…of the quiet sort
At you, I stare.
In – to those eyes.
A glimpse of your soul.
The void is seen.
I reached within my soul
Its night….
Take my hand,
Look into my eyes,
This is now.
This is real.
Sherril’s a small town girl who spent her growing years dreaming of being the next Emily Dickensons. She still “blames” Khalil Gibran for the fact that she begin randomly scribbling poetry at the age of 9 , something which would have never happened, if she had never stumbled upon The Prophet – by accident , and out of sheer boredom, decide to read it.
From that moment on, life as she knew it – was never the same
)
Sherril grew up, to quickly learn that life, had a slightly different plan for her. Today, she loves the fact that her day and night truly are as different as day is to night , but both equally, beautiful and perfectly complimenting.
Nebula’s Quill www.nebulasquill.blogspot.com, brings her writings to cyber space and amazingly have touched the hearts of complete strangers at the other end of the globe. Truly a remarkable poet.
