The Essence, is in the Journey.

One of the many things I stand for in the work I do, and with the many clients I work with – is to never rip the experience of fun and growth out from the process of creating an outcome. Never. In my years of consulting with corporates, people miss the essence of what the process of completion can bring.
Have you ever organized a project, an interesting one where you and your team get all excited about it? Ever so often, we look forward to getting into the process of doing it. Somewhere at our core, we know that the journey of completing would mean a lot more than the completed. I have come to discover, that the completed may not necessary bring you completion.
While many attempt to create an outcome with great seriousness, most lose the fun. Are journeys easy to begin with? No. I’d be way over optimistic to say it would be a bed of roses. Every journey would have its fair share of trials, frustration, challenges and the whole work of reasons to rip your fun.
Work your task with great fun. Be focused, and live out the excitement. It’s an interesting way of being, as you attempt a string of task. No matter how tensed the situation come to be, take the responsibility of bringing excitement to it. It is what that makes up the quality of the journey, and inevitably the quality of the outcome. It influences the field of energy that fuels the journey. It gives more space to create, think, and risk. It loosens up muscles on your shoulders, and creates greater clarity in your frontal lobe. It lies in the being.
In my recent months, I had the opportunity of working with legendary Patch Adams. He is a true testimony of what I write about here, yet at the core of it all we know his work extends beyond boundaries, resolving worldly challenges. He attempts it with so much enthusiasm, love, excitement and zest for life, that in the first 5 minutes of conversation with him, you know he is immersed, and you would already want to join him on his cause and way of spreading love.
So in the beginning, it may seem somewhat an abnormal way of being. After it becomes your way of living, the quality of your outcome shifts, simply because of what you bring to the journey (process) and not the destiny (outcome). I am beginning to think that the celebration of an outcome, is really a celebration of the evolved person you have come to be from the journey itself.
Completion is found not in the completed but in the completing.

Life is a journey … or is it my journey is my life? My journey within doesn’t look at my speed or the time taken or am taking. It’s the destination – that’s what I’m focusing on….. Have a wonderful journey!
Hi Jaina!
I’d say we make life, our journey. The fact that life is simply a choiceless gift – given to us, we just need to ensure the journey that unfolds within this realm, is worth the living.
I know you will live it out to the max?!
